Ken's Artisan Bakery was fashioned in the style of classic French patisseries and boulangeries, which produce rustic loaves while promoting community. The philosophy is simple and straightforward: use the finest fresh, local and organic ingredients, and take no shortcuts. No wonder the flaky croissants actually require three days to make. For a little variety, try the almond, chocolate, or the ham and cheese versions. Plump morning buns are slightly sweet and fragrant with orange; we also recommend the fruit tarts. For lunch, enjoy one of several sandwiches on country brown, a baguette or French rye, with fillings ranging from turkey and cheese to water buffalo. There is also always a house salad based on what's fresh in the market.
