Kilwin's Restaurant Review:
Launched in northern Michigan right after World War II, Kilwin’s dispenses its rich ice creams from a central location to its franchised stores, most of which are in small, charming resort towns. This one, however, occupies a sleek urban setting. Traditional flavors are well executed. Butter pecan may seem like an old chestnut, so to speak, but here the tastes are bright and appealing. It’s hard to turn down the chocolate, though, dark and rich as it is. Sorbetti offer opportunities for a somewhat lower calorie intake, but when you’re dealing in this kind of treat, accept no substitutes. The shop also makes chocolates, including fudge.
