This family-owned restaurant is a roll-up-the-sleeves kind of place that welcomes everyone from toddlers to laborers and all in between. The draw? Handmade subs, stromboli and calzones, plus hearty salads and pasta dishes. And, of course, the big attraction is the assorted pizzas. Choices range from pies with standard toppings to gourmet options: chicken fajita, Hawaiian (pineapple, ham and mozzarella) and meat lovers with pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon and mozzarella. As for the sandwiches, the Meat Lovers Stromboli, oozing with cheese and tomato sauce, is a top pick. Among the appetizers, the fried calamari are tough and the jalapeño poppers seem out of place in an Italian venue. Desserts include tiramisu, cannoli and cheesecake.
