THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Krabloonik Mountain Dining & Dogsledding Restaurant Review:

Where else but at Krabloonik is it possible to watch dogsled teams while dining in white-tablecloth elegance and comfort? On clear winter days or by the moonlight, huge picture windows in this rustic log building above Snowmass Village display a magnificent panorama featuring Capitol Peak and Mt. Daly. But we often have trouble tearing our attention away from the food in front of us. Krabloonik's signature mushroom soup is so popular that the restaurant even packages it for purchase. The rich, woodsy soup provides a perfect prelude to a menu big on game. Top dinner choices include roasted pheasant à l’orange, macadamia-crusted trout in beurre blanc and wild boar medallions over spätzle. Apple fritters are a must for dessert, and the balanced wine list features West Coast vineyards as well as ample selections from France, Italy, Australia, Germany and New Zealand. Lunch is a slightly more casual affair: think buffalo French dips and lamb-Brie sliders.
