THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kuleto's Restaurant Review:
Pat Kuleto designed this beautiful trattoria and lent his name to it, but he is no longer involved. The main dining room captures Old San Francisco: marble, turtleback chandeliers and burnished wood. Focal points are a high, Florentine-style painted ceiling and a mahogany bar with a forest of hanging salamis, pastas, herbs and garlic garlands. In striking opposition are the dining room's extension and the wine bar in the lobby of the Villa Florence Hotel. Both are comfortable, and the dining area captures a feminine feel with white and gold details and big banquettes. A standout starter is the whole roasted garlic paired with creamy blue cheese and crostini. Stick to the simple pasta dishes like the fragrant saffron risotto with scallops and shrimp, or the angel hair pasta with tomatoes and basil.
