Grab a seat at the counter or outside on the wraparound patio of La Creperie on bustling Petronia Street in the heart of Bahama Village. What you’ve found is a little piece of Brittany in Key West’s subtropical paradise, thanks to its loquacious French owners and their freshly prepared cuisine. Choose from sweet crêpes or savory buckwheat galettes (or better yet, order one of each). A classic breakfast selection is the prosciutto, egg and Swiss galette with sautéed tomatoes in herbs de Provence. For something more creative, try the Brie, bacon and Granny Smith apple or Le Mexicaine with refried beans, onions, avocado, tomato, sour cream and Swiss. For the sweet finish, go traditional with Nutella and strawberries or simply butter and sugar, or try the Red Velvet made with homemade raspberry chocolate ganache, fresh strawberries, almonds, English custard ice cream and raspberry coulis. Perfect for lunch, they also offer a selection of panini made with a variety of homemade pestos.
