A Silverlake branch of the original in East Los Angeles, this La Parrilla makes the same marvelous Mexican food: handmade tortillas, fresh salsa thick with onions and cilantro, and various excellent seafood dishes. Try the deep-fried red snapper topped with a light tomato-and-olive sauce, camarones al mojo de ajo (garlicky shrimp) and a seafood stew for two. There are no mariachis here, nor a full bar---just beer and wine.
