THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Strada Restaurant Review:
We love the walls of French-glass doors that add a light-and-bright feeling to daytime dining and set the mood for candlelit elegance by night. Offering neo-Italian fare that owes as much to California as it does to Italy, La Strada's trademark is its more than one dozen homemade pastas, offering trendy spins on traditional favorites by using such ingredients as spinach, goat cheese, jalapeños, black beans, grilled chicken and shrimp. Specialty entrées include lobster and shrimp fra diavolo served over black linguini in a spicy tomato sauce; Black Angus filet resting on a Gorgonzola potato cake with a red wine-caramelized onion reduction; and red snapper al forno baked in a wood-fired oven and topped with crab claws, artichokes, capers, olives and tomatoes. Any dish pairs well with the nice wines-by-the-glass program.
