Landini Brothers Restaurant Review:
One of Old Town Alexandria’s destination restaurants for several decades, Landini Brothers serves Tuscan fare in a fancy setting. Patrons will not find the usual pizzas and spaghetti with meat sauce. Instead, the cooking is Northern Italian, from the starter of gulf shrimp sautéed with butter and garlic to tortellini stuffed with ground veal or linguine tossed with sea scallops, shrimp, baby clams, mussels and squid. Entrées range from rack of lamb with mint sauce to veal scallopine and tender squid poached in tomato sauce. The wine list is extensive, and a wine room seats private parties. End any meal with a sweet treat such as tiramisu, cannoli, crème caramel or chocolate tartufo gelato.
