THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS L'Anne Restaurant Review:
French Colonial Vietnamese fare inspires at least part of the menu at this classy, bamboo-floored west suburbanite where, when the kitchen is on, the food is rock solid. When available, try the inviting, comforting pork shabu shabu, filet mignon with watercress, Annam beef with ginger or halibut with jaded rice and pea shoots. There’s certainly been a move toward what’s more familiar to the masses, though, these days, so don’t be surprised to find a Kobe burger with jalapeños and tempura onions or pike in bacon-caper sauce. Finish, when possible, with lemon grass crème brûlée.
