Last Concert Cafe Restaurant Review:

Last Concert Café has been around for more than 60 years. It first existed as a sort of speakeasy, which explains why there’s no sign and the red door is locked --- knock three times for entrance --- even to this day. Current owner and artist Dawn Fudge keeps the tradition alive as well as the funky folk art interior complete with cracked vinyl booths and Mexican trinkets. Immortalized in the film “Terms of Endearment,” this spot is best known for its huge party patio out back where bands play nightly. The Tex-Mex menu is pretty basic although you can never go wrong with the sizzlin’ fajita platters or Mama's Big (or Little) Dinner of cheese enchiladas made with carne gravy and served with beans, rice, salad, two tacos and chili con queso. Sunday brunch has spicy Bloody Marys and piled-high egg dishes and sausage, and corn flake-crusted pork chops with grits.
