Le Jardin Restaurant Review:
Le Jardin’s menu is mostly French --- as one might guess from the name of this congenial restaurant perched on a cliff overlooking the Hudson River. Dishes such as côte de veau and roasted duck a l’orange for two are centerpieces, but simple grilled meats, seafood and pastas complement. There’s something for everyone, but the overall impact of the food is compromised a bit due to a lack of focus on the quintessential elements of any one cuisine. Service is friendly if inexpert. You may have to pour your own wine but it will be selected from a thoughtfully chosen list. Despite its minor failings, dining on the terrace at sunset or after dark, with the nearby George Washington Bridge twinkling with headlights, has its charms.
