LeMont Restaurant Review:
As Grandview Avenue restaurants come and go, LeMont stands tall, attracting the celebratory crowds. It’s a special-occasion restaurant to be sure, though the quality of service can be erratic. The richness of interior detail includes gilt and crystal chandeliers. Request a window table, though they’re at a premium. The restaurant makes minimal menu changes. Regulars flock to the homemade soup and roast raspberry duck. Other items --- cucumber shrimp, pomegranate-orange-covered Chilean sea bass --- rotate through the options. All dishes are à la carte, and mains come with a vegetable and a starch. The nostalgic elegance of tableside preparations continues, not only for traditional savory dishes --- steak Diane and Châteaubriand for two --- but also for classic desserts like baked Alaska, bananas Foster and cherries jubilee. Enjoy the view of the city while sipping a glass from the wine list.
