Lily's Restaurant Review:
Home-style Mexican fare is the Esparza family’s specialty at this light, airy micro-restaurant. Sopes, masa harina cakes similar to tortillas, are a favorite topped with spicy chorizo or melt-in-your-mouth carnitas. Burritos and tacos stand out because they’re cooked-to-order fresh --- and you won’t see the local favorite, tongue tacos, on most Tex-Mex menus. There’s a different soup every day of the workweek, plus both pozole and the tripe-and-pork-packed menudo on the weekends. For dessert, choose from one of seven flan varieties. Of course, there are Mexican beers and margaritas to wash it all down. The restaurant is very family-friendly, with food arriving via deft maneuvers around a dancing toddler or two. There may be a wait when the dining room is full, but it’s always worth it.
