Lips
They don’t call this place “the ultimate in drag dining” for nothing.
Lips Restaurant Review:
This West Coast branch of a New York drag nightclub-cum-restaurant is great fun. It features lively performances by men dressed as women and attracts a broad section of the San Diego population. The food is obviously not the main draw, but the menu offers a variety of pastas, poultry, seafood, salads and snack food. If you're in need of real sustenance with your shtick, order the drag queen sampler (a generous array of crab cakes, chicken tenders, fried zucchini, coconut shrimp and bruschetta), the grilled vegetable platter (including eggplant, red bell peppers and squash drizzled with a balsamic reduction) or perhaps a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries. As a special feature, Lips offers a Sunday gospel brunch.
