THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pappas Seafood House Restaurant Review:
Housed in a former gas station and renovated with a retro '40s style vibe, Pappas Seafood House is decked out with old signage, netting, knick-knacks and even an aquarium filled with non-edible fish, but the counter facing the front door is filled with the catch of the day on ice. Grab a table or a seat at the bar and start with a platter of raw Gulf Coast oysters that pair well with the hot loaf of bread that comes with every meal. Longtime regulars appreciate the nod to the Pappas family’s heritage with the tableside-tossed Greek salad and a few pasta dishes; however, most want the daily seafood specials. We recommend the blackened catfish topped with lump crab meat, the whole Maine lobster --- chosen from a tank upfront --- or the fried platters piled high with shrimp, oysters, catfish, stuffed crab and fries. Lunch specials are more budget friendly, and there's a kids’ menu for little appetites.
