Louisiana Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Although they share the same name, the two Louisiana Pizza Kitchens (the other one is in the French Quarter) are owned by different companies. Still, the same wood-fired pizza that packs them in daily in the Quarter makes it tough to get a table many nights at the Uptown location, where colorful works by local artists line the walls. In addition to a killer pizza selection (try the four cheese or the roasted lamb), LPK has entrée-size salads that can all have chicken or salmon added, as well as a number of wraps, calzones and pasta dishes --- we like the artichoke ravioli. The wine selection is more extensive than you might expect. For dessert, LPK's tiramisu is legendary, but ask about other ever-changing options. On Wednesdays, LPK offers two-for-one drink specials, and during evening hours you may have a lengthy wait to get a seat.
