Classic Italian dishes are prepared in oversize portions or served family-style for not a lot of money. That means the atmosphere is noisy and bustling and the crowd diverse and spanning generations (that may or may not be a good thing, depending on your persuasion). Dishes never stray too far from the norm, with starters like shrimp scampi in garlicky white wine sauce, crispy calamari, spinach-stuffed mushrooms and Tuscan-style mussels.
