THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Mai Thai Restaurant Review:
From the wonderful tom kah gai soup with its appropriate hot chili sauce twang, to distinctive appetizers like the nam sod---chicken blended with lime, red chili, peanuts and fresh ginger on a bed of lettuce and cabbage---Mai Thai refuses to tame its recipes to suit milder palates. Curry paste, being the heart of Thai cuisine, is well represented on the menu. Do note the printed hotness guide: One pepper really does mean hot, so three-pepper dishes are only for the well-prepared heat-seeker. House specials like the cashew chicken, the deep-fried red snapper delight and the bountiful seafood clay pot are dining bargains. White wicker chairs, crisp linens, a cathedral ceiling and thoughtful, professional service add just the right touch of understated elegance. So if the startling pink exterior makes you curious, go ahead and discover that this place is as good as ever.
