Main Street Bistro Restaurant Review:

Main Street Bistro offers refined comfort food in an urban bistro setting. Chef Tom Selman, former chef du cuisine of David Paul’s Lahaina Grill and corporate chef for the Sansei/Vino restaurants, updates lunch standards with a contemporary, continental twist. Onion rings are served as a mountain of thinly sliced and lightly breaded ribbons with smoky house-made ketchup; pasta salad comes with blackened chicken and shrimp and a creamy avocado ranch dressing; and slow-cooked baby-back ribs are glazed with poha-honey mustard. And any requests for low-fat or low-carb options are happily granted. The 60-seat bistro is a hit for a late-lunch or quick, quality pau hana (after work) tapas and pupu menu from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a limited selection of high-grade vodkas (and martinis), wines and beer.
