Mandarin Court Restaurant Review:
Located on one of the most touristy blocks in Chinatown, this sparingly decorated restaurant is popular with diners who can't tell a spring roll from an egg roll, as well as with demanding dim sum aficionados. Steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce and taro cake are especially good. Customers receive a free red bean and tapioca dessert soup. Dim sum is not just a weekend delight; it's served from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. There are also good lunch specials and a dinner menu boasting such surprises as steamed roast pork buns or sizzling oysters with ginger and scallions.
