Mango Tree Restaurant Review:
From the outside Mango Tree looks unprepossessing, but the interior has been cleverly transformed into a long, airy restaurant with tables running down each side and always-striking flower arrangements. And as it's invariably full, any sense of an office building is drowned out. But the real wizardry is in the cooking, which is as authentic a Thai experience as you would hope to find in Thailand itself. The choice is wider than most Thai restaurants but don’t be put off by the long menu. Top ingredients are allowed to shine through from yellow curry with monkfish and butterfish to fried chicken wrapped in a pandan leaf. The wine list is first-rate; service charming. 2-course lunch £17, 3 courses £20; pre-theatre 2 courses £17, 3 courses £22. Royal Banquet menus £32 to £40 per person.
