Owner Ashwani Dhawan delivers on Mantra's promise of "modern, casual and Indian." Curry gets updated with quinoa, ground lamb is presented as a "lollipop" on a cinnamon stick and classic naan is transformed into a rosemary-pesto and Parmesan preparation that is not to be missed. Crispy greens are an addictive starter snack of battered spinach and arugula leaves served with tamarind chutney --- french-fry-like snacking with the California-inspired nod to healthy eating Mantra strives to deliver. Choose from individual (small) or shareable (regular) sizes of a variety of entrées, or just make a meal of the small plates. Vegetarian and vegan choices abound.
