The Southwestern menu, offering a strong vegetarian emphasis, has made the casual eatery a longtime favorite with locals. Margaret’s is famous for its quesadillas, comforting chicken soup and juicy rotisserie-roasted chicken served with a wide selection of sauces and sides. Changing specials celebrate the seasons with dishes such as grilled pork chops marinated in a smoky chipotle sauce, the veggie plate featuring colache, black beans and green chile mashed potatoes, and the best chiles rellenos this side of the Mississippi River. Everything on the menu tastes even better with the cantina’s famous margarita made with fresh limes.
