About the restaurant: Owned and run for more than 60 years by two generations of the Della Santina family, Joe’s is a longtime draw for locals who enjoy the retro atmosphere, large portions of Italian food, good steaks and moderate prices. Marin Joe’s is also a piano bar, featuring live music in a saloon that would have made Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack feel right at home.
Food & Drinks: The Caesar salad, Joe's special with ground beef, spinach and an egg, and ample pastas are all satisfying options, and Wednesday's osso buco always consistently sells out. The massive mesquite grill turns out flame-licked steaks, inch-thick onion-laced burgers, calves liver and fresh fish. Save room for the cheesecake or chocolate truffle mousse. The wine list features California and Italian selections.
