On the busy main drag in McLean, Masala restaurant brings the taste of India to the locals. The lunch buffet presents a full sampling of Indian favorites, from familiar curries to numerous vegetarian favorites as well as eggplant, dals, and even a clever quinoa dish with paneer and cashews. If you prefer to order off the menu, look for Himalayan goat curry, trout fish curry and lamb kebabs. Chefs cook up clay-oven breads, too: basil, goat cheese and plain flatbreads. Kids’ have their own menu. Typical Indian desserts are available along with homemade cheesecake with raspberry coulis. Happy hours are offered several afternoons a week.
