THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Masraff's Restaurant Review:
Elegant Tuscan-inspired dining rooms bedecked with Murano chandeliers, cherry wood tables and a roaring central fireplace cater to discerning and casual diners as well as the power lunch set. Legendary jazz man Harry Sheppard adds to the ambience on Thursday evenings and a swinging band kicks up the Sunday jazz brunch at this creation of father and son team Tony and Russell Masraff. But it’s the European-American cuisine that keeps longtime patrons coming back. We recommend the daily-changing risotto and the diver scallops. Other seafood dishes, such as the sautéed John Dory with buttered asparagus, potato purée and charred scallion-infused Champagne beurre blanc, are also on our list of must-haves, as are the pasta dishes and seared lamb and steaks. An extensive wine list, overseen by Russell, runs from California classics to French, Italian, German and South American favorites.
