Mendocino Farms Restaurant Review:
Mid-City goers on the run have many options for a quick lunch or take-out, but few more appealing than Mendocino Farms, where the sandwiches could not be more different than those on offer at national chains. As a result, folks line up at the door of this neo-rustic spot. Chef Judy Han honed her skills in places like Lucques, Sona and Grace, and her wine country-inspired sandwich concepts have a decidedly upscale orientation. We like the crispy duck confit sandwich, stuffed into an artisan ciabatta roll with balsamic-poached figs, spinach and herb aïoli. Also impressive are Mendocino Farms’ Kurobuta pork belly bánh mì, and a good curried chicken salad sandwich. A wide array of healthy and-or vegetarian sandwiches is available, too.
