1369 Coffee House Restaurant Review:
Not far from its flagship shop, this Central Square offshoot of 1369 Coffee House features the same casual vibe. Like the original, this place sports wall clocks showing the time in Cambridge, Kenya, Colombia and Guatemala to underscore the first-rate (and strong) fair-trade coffee it serves. There are also loose leaf teas brewed in individual pots, mugs of steaming hot chocolate, homemade chai, jet fuel espresso, foamy macchiatos, lemonade, mocha slides and fresh cider available. Morning muffins, coffee cake and egg sandwiches give way to a daily selection of homemade soups, teriyaki tofu salads, baked quiche and hearty sandwiches, like the turkey gobbler made with stuffing and cranberry sauce, catering to Cantabrigians: wholesome with lots of vegetables. Be sure to order a chocolate chip cookie or sweet coconut macaroon to savor with a steamed mocha during a walk in the area.
