5 Seasons Westside Restaurant Review:

A 100-year-old core building holds 5 Seasons’ kitchen and brewery; adjacent to it is the two-story restaurant with its lively scene on the roof at the “Sky Bar.” Brewmaster Crawford Moran’s products are clean, crisp and full-flavored --- get a flight to taste a range. Lots of effort goes into sourcing organic products and healthy ingredients, such as grass-fed beef and the occasional game offering, like elk or antelope. And the restaurant strives to run a green operation, so used oil powers the steam for the beer vats. Besides pizza and sandwiches, including a good burger, main plates run from interpretations of pub classics such as fish ‘n’ chips and a blue cheese-bedecked Ploughman’s lunch to a grass-fed steak offered in two sizes. We like the smoked fingerling potato salad among the sides. Daily changing house-made ice creams vie with a flourless chocolate cake and seasonal fruit tart for dessert. In addition to brews, there’s a decent wine list and plenty of spirits and spirit-based cocktails.
