Ajisen Ramen Restaurant Review:
This attractive and wood-bedecked Japanese restaurant may seem out of place lodged smack in the center of Chinatown’s culinary mecca. But it has no problem drawing in hungry locals and tourists for big bowls of ramen and assorted Japanese appetizers. The house ramen, laced with tender pork and a soft, fist-size chunk of brisket, is the biggest hit among the 18 total choices, which also include Japanese deep-fried chicken and shrimp tempura. Supplement your meal with dumplings, seaweed salad and skewered meats. There’s a small but affordable beer and wine selection.
