Angelino Restaurant Restaurant Review:
The glow of San Francisco Bay floods through the large front windows of this family-run establishment. Almost every table has an expansive view of the water with Angel Island and the lights of San Francisco in the distance. Chef Pasquale Ancona and his wife Donna opened the restaurant in 1983; Alfredo Ancona is now executive chef and owner, pastry chef is Tera Ancona and general manager is Teresa Ancona. The family buys many ingredients from local farmers for the seasonally-inspired menu, including grass-fed beef and veal from Marin Sun Farms. The quality is obvious in dishes such as house-made fettuccine with classic Bolognese sauce and shaved pecorino cheese, and gossamer ravioli stuffed with Swiss chard and ricotta. Desserts are rich and tasty. Don't miss the movie nights, which include a three-course prix-fixe menu and a classic movie.
