Avenue B Restaurant Review:
Avenue B, from chef Chris Bonfili and his wife Jenn, boasts décor that combines elements giving off a rustic, whimsical and minimalist-chic vibe. The seasonal menu lists a few each of appetizers, mains and desserts; choices expand with the specials. Bright add-ins buff comfort foods --- Wagyu meatloaf with goat cheese and chive-whipped potatoes; flounder with rock shrimp and pasta; and roasted pear and Gorgonzola flatbread are a few examples. International influences and Bonfili’s love of Asian flavors punctuate several preparations. For dessert, there is the chocolate caramel bar with olive oil ice cream. A BYOB with just a $5 corkage fee adds another enticement.
