Azalea Ristorante Restaurant Review:
Beautiful artisan woodwork, propeller-like ceiling fans and an exposed cave built into one wall inhabit the interior, reminiscent of a yacht. The menu brings together specialties of the Amalfi Coast and Emilia-Romagna. Appetizers include a carpaccio di manzo served with shaved Parmesan, celery and truffle oil and calamari fritti. Main dishes feature handmade pastas, risottos and a variety of fish and meat options. Homemade pappardelle with a wild boar ragù and pan-seared Mediterranean sea bass in a fresh herb sauce are particularly noteworthy. The décor, extensive Italian wine list and reasonable pre-theater prix-fixe menu ($30) make this a nice choice for a pre- or post-theater dinner.
