B.B. King's Blues Club Restaurant Review:
Every night of the week, you can take in blues, soul, jazz or rock without worrying about where to eat beforehand. From Memphis-style dry-rubbed ribs to fried catfish to a Carolina barbecue-glazed filet of salmon, the cooking is surprisingly good for a music club that’s popular with tourists. Try the sultry gumbo with chicken, andouille sausage and crawfish or the roasted chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and collard greens. Po’ boys add to the menu's regional fare, and there are burgers in addition to a brunch menu of fried chicken biscuit Benedict or bananas Foster french toast. For dessert, try the banana bread pudding. Not exactly appropriate for intimate romantic dates, the place fields a very loud atmosphere as this is a nightclub. There is full bar service, but don't expect much in the way of wine.
