With plush retro diner booths and a dimly lit ambience, this East Village lounge-eatery is a choice spot for a long night of drink-swilling. But the sedate mixed crowd of downtown hipsters and uptown haute-lovers know to head straight outside to the enclosed patio. Some say the B Bar's moment passed in the late '90s. It is, though, still a swanky place to sip creative cocktails like Rest in Pisco, Strawberry Fields, and Cardinal Sin. The Tuesday night gay-themed Beige is one of the hottest events in the city --- good luck getting in.
