Brindille Restaurant Review:
This follow-up to Naha, Carrie Nahabedian’s longtime contemporary American, is intimate, sleek and luxurious, and there’s great attention to detail --- both in terms of décor and thoughtful touches on the plate. At the same time, it’s a comfortable place to dine, and share, be it over starters like rich foie gras with deeply nuanced rhubarb-fig jam and candied olives or pleasantly gamey guinea fowl, set amid gnocchi, morels and cockscombs with butter beans. Still, the lobster Brindille, resting atop greens with vanilla-kissed coral butter, is worthy of a splurge. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with a selection of French cheeses, served with roasted applies, huckleberry-Meyer lemon jam and raisin bread, though the warm, comforting cherry-almond clafoutis with a cloud of Chantilly crème is hard to beat. Smart wine and cocktail lists are equally accolade-worthy, and they’re made accessible by the helpful staff.
