Classic steakhouse in an historic setting is a meat-lover's paradise.
Buckhorn Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Buckhorn is a classic steakhouse with a quirky twist. While the dining room has an historic elegance, mounted animal heads peer down at diners from throughout the place. But it remains a local favorite for special occasion dining, even launching a chain of casual eateries across the state. Starters include Cajun steak bites, steamed clams and fire-roasted artichoke, while mains include everything you'd expect at a traditional steakhouse: prime rib, filet mignon, ribs and rack of lamb, as well as salmon, shrimp, lobster and chicken. Those seeking a more exotic meal can try the buffalo or elk, but the main focus is on the sirloin, which comes bacon-wrapped, peppered, char-roasted or doused with mushroom sauce. Come on Wednesday for all-you-can-eat ribs, or Thursday for steak and lobster.
