Buena Vista Deli Restaurant Review:

This French-style bakery and deli is run by Claude Postel, the co-owner of Buena Vista Bistro and Buena Vista Chocolate & Wine boutique on the same block, making for a French food trifecta. A traditional petit dejeuner (good strong coffee, a basket of fresh breads, homemade jelly, and perhaps some fresh-squeezed orange juice) is a good way to start the day, but there’s also a chorizo omelet and crab quiche to tempt. And if the bakery cases hold a Paris-Brest (hazelnut praline cream between layers of airy choux pastry), be sure to get it. At lunch, go for sandwiches on artisanal breads such as saucisson sec (French salami), house-made duck pâté or smoked Scottish salmon with cream cheese and capers. This is one of the few small eateries in town where house plonk is entirely satisfying.
