Cafe Society Restaurant Review:

Owner and executive chef Cullen Kent’s French training meets his American roots on Café Society’s globally inspired menu. Appetizers include the classic fricassée of escargots served with Spanish chorizo and wild mushrooms or salmon ceviche. Entrées are heavy on seafood and shellfish, but diners will also find rack of lamb and veal piccata. Vegetarians will be pleased with the portobello napoleon stuffed with farmer’s cheese, spinach and roasted peppers. For dessert, there’s always crème brûlée, or try the fresh French cheesecake of the day. Despite the gourmet offerings, Café Society has a casual vibe, and the wine list, which lists vintages, offers plenty of good choices, including a substantial number of half bottles. French and American selections rule.
