Carpaccio Restaurant Review:
One can barely swing a spaghetti strand without hitting an Italian restaurant or another owned by the Mezzanotte group, and menus are very similar. Settings vary, but food-wise, if you've eaten at one you've eaten at all. Yet, bustling Carpaccio in Bal Harbour has always been a particularly shiny pearl on the Mezzanotte string, drawing a crowd of well-heeled shoppers. Starters include carpaccio combinations --- choose salmon, swordfish, tuna or beef, buried under dressed-up greens, capers and shaved Parmesan. Or start with a crisply charred brick-oven pizza. Pasta dishes are fresh and substantial, such as linguine with lobster in spicy tomato sauce. Other places have come and gone but Carpaccio thrives.
