Casa Tua Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant and décor: Casa Tua is cloaked in ivy behind a high wall and front gates that open to an enchanting outdoor garden patio with Moroccan glass lamps hanging from tree branches. Inside the stone Mediterranean villa, find a series of dining rooms decorated to make guests feel as though they're in the home of a good friend with designer tastes.
About the food & wine: The menu showcases simple yet sophisticated ingredients that typify the best of Italian cooking. Classics include an octopus carpaccio with artichokes, tomato concasse, and potatoes in Dijon mustard dressing and tagliolini with crème fraîche and caviar --- and that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to pasta. There are plenty to choose from including ravioli di ricotta with balsamic extravecchio and hazelnuts; farro risotto with Maine lobster; fettuccine with wild mushrooms, black truffle and Parmesan cheese fonduta; and pappardelle with lamb ragù. Seafood also excels, as in seared turbot with celery root purée. Strawberry tartlet with mascarpone makes a lovely dessert. The overpriced wine list is mostly Italian.
