Brazilian-style churrascaria, perfect for meat lovers in the ’burbs.
Chama Gaucha Restaurant Review:
Meals begin at the focal salad bar of this Downers Grove churrascaria, and it’s a bountiful start even a carnivore can love. When you’re ready for the main event, signal the waiters, who traverse the dining room with speared pit-roasted meats. The endless procession of tableside-carved fare comes at a price, mind you, but the full-flavor feast leaves you busting at the seams. Watch for the signature picanha, salt-licked sirloin that’s best plunked in chimichurri sauce. Bacon-wrapped filet, Parmesan-dusted pork loin and deeply marbled beef ribs are only the beginning. There’s leg of lamb, top and bottom sirloin and rib-eye, too. A large wine list and optional (read: extra) desserts tie it all together.
