Charles' Southern Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Southern-fried chicken is prepared in cast-iron fry pans at Charles' Southern Kitchen. The Perdue chickens are marinated in a top-secret sauce for eight hours before frying. Try to get a mix of white and dark meat for the full experience. There's an almost constant line for seats at the sit-down restaurant, which also features an all-you-can-eat buffet. Others queue up to take out the reasonably priced fry-ups, sweet potatoes, cornbread, pork chops, smothered chicken, ribs, salmon cakes and various side dishes. Décor is nil, but Charles' is down-home tasty.
