Charlie's Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Charlie's Kitchen is a rarity in Boston --- an eatery that's managed to not only age, but get better as well. The two-story storefront sits on an always-gridlocked intersection of Harvard Square with all the wacky permanence of an isolated roadside diner. Inside waitresses with 'tude serve up the house specialty: double cheeseburgers alongside killer fries, shakes and plenty of drafts (from 18 on tap). You will find the usual pub grub like chicken fingers, buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks, but some healthier finds, too, like the chicken kebab served with rice and a salad as well as a hot turkey sandwich with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Be sure to finish off the meal with a scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Despite the nature of the grub, diners tend to linger long after they've mangled their last fry. We're not disputing that decision.
