Cool Moon Ice Cream Restaurant Review:
You might not find sea urchin ice cream at Cool Moon, but you will encounter innovative flavors such as Indian kulfi (pistachio/cardamom/rosewater) and Thai iced tea. All ice cream is made right in the store following classic custard-based recipes, and watching the production makes this a memorable stop for people of all ages. The owners showcase their deep Oregon roots with traditional family-pleasing and seasonally inspired lemon poppy seed, horchata, dark chocolate mint, coconut sesame, ginger cookies and cream, and marionberry swirl flavors, too. Traditionalists can always choose variations of vanilla and chocolate. Sorbets are available as a dairy-free alternative. There couldn't be a better spot for an ice cream parlor than across the street from the Jamison Square fountains. The shop's eclectic art and friendly servers top off the experience.
