Copley's on Palm Canyon Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: Step across Copley’s threshold and beyond the front door to an expansive patio that lends itself well to a lovely alfresco meal. Add to the mix a dash of Hollywood lore --- the building was once a pied-a-terre of Cary Grant’s --- and a creative chef-owner, Andrew Copley, and you have the perfect storm for a delightful culinary outing.
Food & Drinks:Specialties include ahi tacos in a sesame-miso shell; it puts an unexpected and pleasing spin on an old favorite. Seared jumbo scallops are served with Thai pork meatballs, along with a mosaic of basil couscous, exotic mushrooms and a sweet corn broth. Prosciutto-wrapped duck breast is presented over baby spinach and baby carrots, with a star anise reduction. London-trained Copley makes his own herb-infused ice creams: a trio of tarragon, basil and Grand Marnier composes a satisfying end to the meal. While we enjoy the wine selection, the martinis are an après dinner must. If you arrive early enough, you’ll witness the kitchen staff plucking fresh produce from the herb and vegetable beds tended by Copley and his wife, Juliana.
