CREPEstudio Restaurant Review:
The proprietor has unveiled her grandmother’s crêpe recipe---a northern European version that results in a slightly thicker, heartier texture---in an 800-square-foot Old Pasadena space dressed up with bold colors and contemporary lighting. The Pesto Heaven is served in a loose crêpe cone, stuffed with mozzarella cheese, red peppers, tomatoes, spinach and pesto sauce. Another contains a chicken Caesar, and yet another turns a Greek salad on its head. More traditional flat presentations include ham-and-cheese, and some crêpes are folded over fruit and Nutella for sweet snacks. A small selection of panini is also offered.
