Damian's Cucina Italiana Restaurant Review:
Patrons frequent Damian's to harvest the feast of authentic Italian cuisine and wines in an ambience at once old world and refreshingly new. Try the tableside Caesar salad and the shrimp Damian, prawns sautéed with garlic in a white wine-butter sauce. Another treasure from the sea is salmon paillard topped with pesto-mushroom trifolati. Hearty appetites go for main courses like the costolette alla valdostana, a veal chop stuffed with prosciutto and Fontina in a mushroom-Marsala sauce. Whether dining light or robust, start with the verde Gorgonzola, a salad punched up with a blue cheese-and-walnut dressing. The extensive wine list focuses mostly on Italian vintages, including some Super Tuscans. Damian's also features one of the best chef’s tables in town, set right inside the kitchen, where you can interact with the chefs as they whip up a six-course meal.
