Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House Restaurant Review:

From the outside, this clubby men's restaurant seems sedate, but you'll pass through massive front doors into a flurry of activity akin to that at the check-in counter for a canceled flight. Here, however, patrons are dispatched to tables or to the bar with far greater efficiency than the airlines could ever hope for. The menu is straightforward: beef dominates along with standard steakhouse fare like lamb chops and lobster. Start with an order of onion rings, lightly breaded crispy whisps that the table will devour in seconds. Thick steaks arrive, still spitting juice, on white platters the temperature of hot coals. A server stands at attention, awaiting your nod of approval that the meat is cooked to your specifications; if not, it is removed from the table with lightning speed. Accompanying items are all à la carte, leading some to complain that the tab is a bit high, but don't be deterred. The old-fashioned lettuce wedge with milky blue cheese dressing and an order of skillet potatoes are the ideal frame for any filet or strip. The long wine list is heavy on cult Cabs and other massive reds. If you are sensitive to smoke, ask to not be seated on the bar side of the room as the aromas from the cigar room seep into the dining area.
